Imagine Carano sp? Enjoy it for what it is, good fun, a tiny bit of drama, mediocre acting, the same goofy karate gafs as 30 years ago. If you love the original, watch this with an open mind. They did not remake it, they reimagined it for the reboot.

It has brought the story into the current era and made significant changes to the plot. Van Damme plays a key role in this film, but doesn't reprise the title role.

Instead he is actively passing the torch to a new generation, and potentially starting a new series of movies. Given the lack of asian actors and fighters, I'm not sure why they set it in Thailand.
